IDS is a talented group of professionals who deliver innovation in product design and development through a true integration of industrial design, engineering, prototyping, and contract manufacturing. Our founding business principle was to put together a development team who could produce creative product designs that were also engineered to be manufacturing ready. We’ve accomplished that goal by taking a collaborative approach across disciplines.

Scott Olson is the president and co-founder of Integrated Design Solutions (IDS) and has over 30 years of product development experience. Prior to launching IDS, he worked in engineering for a custom injection molding company and in the development of commercial applicator equipment. His experiences prior to IDS were the motivating factors for our core philosophy of using cross functional teams to drive creativity without losing site of DFM. Scott is inspired by the creative genius of Frank Lloyd Wright and his “Form and function are one” philosophy.
