Challenge
Service Ideas manufactures innovative products for the commercial food and beverage industry. IDS was challenged with redesigning their classic syrup server to update the appearance, eliminate dripping, control flow, improve disassembly for cleaning, and reduce cost.
Approach
Our development team worked collaboratively to incorporate needed functional features with a contemporary design aesthetic. Extensive research, testing, and refinement was used to create the dripless spout design. Iterative ideation and prototyping lead to a creative latch/spring mechanism.
Solution
The result was the Service Ideas Classic Syrup Dispenser with a dripless flow-controlled spout and an updated design aesthetic. This patented design reduced the cost and improved the functionality, durability, and cleanability of the dispenser.
